Like
every coin has two faces everything in this universe has its opposite. The day
has night, the good has evil, success has failure and life has death. Just like
the two opposing faces of a coin, opposites are just on the other side or you
may say closely follow one another.
Another
equally striking thing about these opposites is that the other side is inevitable.
You can be certain that night will change into day like life will one day be
replaced by death. Death is the most certain among all happenings, in each and
every thing that takes birth on earth. Whatever takes life is destined to
perish in death.
There
are two extremely important lessons to be learnt and many of us fail to learn
from death, which I would like to discuss here. These lessons, if learned and
worked upon, have potential enough to transform into success any form of
failure.
The
first thing is to realize that any problem, any challenge, any tribulation, any
scarcity, any epidemic, any catastrophe, any tsunami, any hurricane or any pain
has a life span. As soon as one of these life shattering events commences its
act; its end, its passing away, its death is as certain as is its devastation.
The bad time will pass.
It’s
a great relief to know, to understand and to realize this truth that even the
worst crisis will come to an end and the deadliest threat will recede and pass
away. The realization of this fact will not only give you courage to keep
fighting against adversity, but also keep the lamp of hope burning brightly.
But
this is just part of the lesson. This
too has an opposite. As do the bad times
pass away, so also the good times. This is the lesson; nothing is permanent
except change. The lesson is to use this knowledge and persist through
difficult times to reach success and happiness.
Once
you have overcome your challenges and become successful, it’s already time,
start preparing for the bad times because the not so good times may be lurking
somewhere behind the next turn.
Most
of us do neither and hence suffer pain and anguish.
Now,
you know that the end of all things is certain and death is the most inevitable
event in the life of every living being. The timing of this event though is
most uncertain. No one knows exactly when death may strike. All of us know
this; most of us don’t acknowledge this fact and continue to live in fool’s
paradise.
Realizing this fact and living each coming
moment of your lives as if any one of it could be the last, can transform the
remaining days of your life. There would be so much more to do in the present
moment that it would force you to do only the most vital things right now. This
single action of doing the most important thing required to be done in this
moment is the most powerful secret of success.
I
promise myself, to follow this idea every moment of my starting from now…the 2nd
of October 2015 ; 6.05 pm IST, Nashik, India.

Your post reminds me of Scott Peck's book "The Road Less Travelled."
He begins by stating "Life is difficult." Once we accept this fact, then it is no longer difficult. You've brought out some important truths, and I like how hopeful the tone is.
Kind Regards,
